DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF QUALITY ASSURANCE COMMISSIONS

DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE QUALITY COMMISSION:

  • In line with the strategic plans and objectives of our university, to provide consultancy support in the design and development of academic and administrative quality processes and to monitor the relevant work in accordance with the determined work schedule, and to organize all the work to be carried out within the relevant scope.
  • Ensuring the establishment and maintenance of quality assurance principles and systems within the department, and working with university and dean’s quality committees; To carry out work in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by these commissions.
  • To evaluate academic and administrative services, improve their quality, and approve their quality levels in line with the strategic plan and objectives of the unit and institution. To carry out all necessary work to ensure the institution’s success in national and international rankings.
  • To provide all necessary support to the university and deanery Quality Commissions in these efforts. To conduct internal academic and administrative evaluations.
  • To announce the decisions of the university and deanery Quality Commissions to the relevant department, to monitor their implementation, and to monitor the results of these implementations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCREDITATION COMMISSION:

  • To organize the department’s undergraduate program curriculum in line with accreditation criteria and FEDEK studies.
  • To review the department’s academic development, regulations, innovation, and curriculum compatibility, and to regularly plan improvements in line with these innovations.
  • To conduct departmental accreditation activities.
  • To ensure the coordinated preparation of documents and materials needed for accreditation assessments.
  • To monitor current developments in accreditation studies, to identify needs, and to ensure the implementation of necessary measures.
  • To ensure the coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and development of accreditation activities.
  • To ensure the preparation of the FEDEK Departmental Self-Assessment Report and, when necessary, the Interim Report, and to conduct these activities in collaboration with departmental faculty.
  • To organize the Departmental review and evaluation visits conducted by FEDEK.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EDUCATION COMMISSION:

  • To ensure that the department’s students’ educational activities are carried out effectively and efficiently using available resources.
  • To evaluate courses according to FEDEK criteria.
  • To determine information regarding horizontal and vertical transfers and to evaluate applications for double majors, horizontal and vertical transfers.
  • To ensure that student meetings are held at the end of the academic year and suggestions for improvement are received.
  • To ensure that suggestions for improvements to the advising system, based on the student-advisor communication process, are reflected in the internal stakeholder cycle.
  • To ensure that practices related to the major design experience envisioned by FEDEK are monitored and suggestions for improvement are made.
  • To ensure that educational objectives and program outcomes are updated through meetings with class representatives.
  • To develop recommendations for updating educational surveys.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY COMMISSION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The mission of this commission is to plan and organize all kinds of social and cultural activities that can contribute to social contribution and prepare students for the future, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. It aims to raise awareness through volunteering and social responsibility projects.
  • To direct department students and faculty to social responsibility projects that they are interested in and may be interested in.
  • To raise awareness of social responsibility among department students and faculty.
  • To remind students and faculty of their potential as role models in society.
  • To provide students and faculty with the ability to develop teamwork solutions to problems by leveraging their sociocultural and academic knowledge.
  • To develop social responsibility projects: To contribute to improving the quality of life for all segments of society, particularly children, women, youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
  • To conduct scientific research, application, and educational activities in line with these goals.
  • To increase the recognition of the University, Faculty, and Department and ensure their integration with society.

ADVISORY BOARD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide opinions and recommendations on various issues, particularly regarding departmental education, research activities, and service delivery.
  • To collaborate with external stakeholders on quality assurance, accreditation efforts, and the organization of education and training with innovative policies.
  • To work with university and dean’s advisory boards.
  • To develop plans to meet departmental needs.
  • To provide support for implementation efforts in relevant fields by collaborating with non-university institutions and organizations.
