Application and Evaluation Process

General Application Requirements:

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or be in their final year / final semester of undergraduate study.

ALES Score:

Applicants are required to have a minimum score of 55 in ALES in the relevant score type of the applied program (or an equivalent GRE or GMAT score approved by the Senate).

Foreign Language (Russian) Requirement:

Applicants must obtain at least 75 points from a Russian language exam recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), an internationally recognized equivalent exam, or the Russian proficiency exam administered by the University.

Examination and Interview Evaluation:

Candidates are evaluated through written and oral examinations covering subject-area knowledge. To be considered successful, applicants must score at least 65 out of 100 in these evaluations.

Calculation of Success Score and Placement:

The success score is calculated as follows:

  • 50% of the ALES score,

  • 25% of the undergraduate grade point average,

  • 25% of the evaluation (exam/interview) score.

For applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application, their current undergraduate GPA is taken into account.

Ranking and Enrollment:

Candidates are ranked from the highest score downward within the available quota. In the event of a tie, priority is given to the candidate with the higher undergraduate GPA. Principal candidates who are granted the right to enroll must complete their registration within the specified dates; otherwise, vacant quotas are offered to reserve candidates.
